The Heart Behind Weblink Education

When I first began homeschooling, I quickly realized that there is no one perfect way to educate a child. Every family is different, every child learns differently, and every homeschool journey comes with its own joys, challenges, questions, and seasons.

That realization became the foundation for what would eventually become

Weblink Education.

In the early 2000s, I began with a simple online collection of hundreds of helpful “weblinks” to free homeschooling resources—connecting families with information and encouragement as they navigated their own unique journeys. That grassroots beginning is where the name Weblink Education came from, and over time, that little collection of helpful links grew into something much more.

As my own homeschooling journey continued, so did my desire to come alongside other families. Having experienced firsthand the excitement of homeschooling as well as the uncertainty that can come with it, I understood what it was like to wonder if you were choosing the right curriculum, doing enough, navigating different learning styles, planning for high school, or simply wondering if you were on the right track.

Those experiences became the heart behind Weblink Education and continue to shape the way I support and encourage homeschool families today.

Soon, in 2015, I began sharing what I had learned through my own homeschooling journey and helping families in my local area get started. This opportunity soon expanded as I began speaking at local homeschool start-up groups and co-ops, and eventually through statewide programs, churches, and organizations.
